i was sooooo entertained, impressed & intrigued by this trailer i HAD to watch it... so i did! it was a really good documentary/movie. i didn't realized billy mitchell was a douche until the end though bc i was like hypnotized by his ben stiller-ish antics, porn star-ish, 80s brat look & attitude.

ok not "new" but new to me! while lookin up stuffs for upcoming trip to vancouv i was looking at my hotel on a map. saw a vogue theater clicked on it & saw cocorosie was 1 of the acts that had been/will be there. the fact that they call their music "freak folk" is great, so had to investigate & me likey. (they also have an interesting family background)

loooove the way l'art du déplacement sounds! it means the art of movement... so how did i get here? was talking about bug house (a ripley's episode where a "nature lover likes slugs in his shower, ants on his woodwork and spiders in his windows") earlier today at wok. while searching for video of it on you tube to email out (it's quite a friggin visual!) i came across the following:



thought yamakasi sounded really cool (& japanese) so read the description of the video which brought me to another word i didn't know: parkour. interesting to see such a divide in sides: Parkour/David Belle - Free Running/Sébastien #whoknew? just glad i learned something today :)
